Here’s to a Messy Xmas!

OK, OK – I know its been a while again, but I’ve really been a busy little girly since getting back from Ibiza and this is genuinly the first chance I’ve had to sit down and do an update!!!!

I can’t actually believe that its two months since I got back from ibiza, and wow, ……what a two months its been as well!!!!!!!

I’ll begin by talking about one of THE most amazing weeks of my life playing for SLINKY as part of their international tour. I couldn’t quite believe that it was me who was actually going until I got on the plane – but I truly had one of the best weeks ever!!! I DJ’d at The Liquid Room in Singapore first which was incredible!! I was of course nervous to be making my Slinky debut, but I needn’t have worried – the crowd were wicked and the club was rammed – they certainly love their trance in that place!!!! Then on to Kuala Lumpur where I wasn’t quite sure what to expect……….but I needn’t have worried there either – what a club, what a crowd and oh my God what an atmosphere!!! The place absolutely rocked, and I was pleased to hear that Dave Seamen who had played the week before me dropped the same classic – “Born Slippy” at the 3 o’clock end (although different mixes obviously) and the crowd went equally as mad!!!! Always nice to be compared to a DJ legend!!!!!! All that, and I got treated like a queen in both countries and can not thank all the guys out there enough for making the week so wicked and for looking after me! (please see my Gallery for all the photos)

So then back to the UK – I was walking on air when I came back but have since played some of the best UK gigs I’ve ever done. The two that I must talk about are the Charlys Angelz tour dates – the first being at Temptations in the Isle of White. Its the second year that the three of us have played this venue and its just a fantastic club and a really special vibe down there – we all had a wicked night. And then more recently Charlys Angelz at the awesome Coach in Banbridge, Northern Ireland. I’d heard all sorts of stories about how brilliant this club is, and with Dave Pearce playing a few weeks before and Fergie playing the week after we were indeed sandwiched between two of the UKs biggest DJ’s!!!! Nothing prepared me for just how phenominal this club truly is. Niki, Sophie and myself will surely all agree that this is one of the best UK Charlys to date – the place was just banging and the crowd were quality – really really hope to go back and play there again soon.

Have had great gigs also in Blandford @ Voltz for the cheeky crew where I warmed up for the lovely Bonnie and Clyde, at Passion in Bournemouth for the polysonic crew who gave me a great homecoming party and at creation in Leeds. I’ve also had some fantastic clubbing nights at Incision in Leeds and Utopia in Scarborough both of which I’ll hopefully be making my debut for in 2004 and both of which are rockin’ nights.

So all thats left to say is thanks to everyone who has supported me in 2003 and also hello to all the wicked people that I’ve met over the past twelve months – its been a rollercoaster year for sure, and the people I’ve met have certainly made it even more special.

I begin 2004 with a residency at The Shuss Bar in the Italian Ski Resort of Sauze D’Oulx where I will be every Thursday night. I also have lots of dates provisionally booked around the UK for when I’m back every weekend, so check out my diary to see what I am up to. Oh, and also keep an eye out for my tune – “Believe” – which (fingers crossed) should be released at the beginning of the year with another to follow soon after. This is my first solo production and I’m really excited about it and cannot wait to hear what you all think too!

Hope you all have a messy Christmas and a fantastic New Year.

Love to all,

Vicky xxx
